We had fun at the first Fleet Week in Los Angeles at the San Pedro Port honoring the US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, with a ship tour of the USS America, and military equipment demos.  There were also demos and displays of the Coast Guard, Fire and Police departments, but one of the most fascinating display was of a portable military medical facility that we were able to walk through and ask questions of the knowledgeable military personnel.
