In Angelino Heights, an area of Los Angeles near Echo Park, is a hidden treasure.  Carroll Avenue is filled with Victorian manors, one of Los Angeles’ first suburbs.  The entire 1300 block of Carroll Avenue was listed under the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and many of the homes have been named as Los Angeles historic-Cultural Monuments.
