New Orleans is a major US port and the largest metropolitan area of Louisiana.  The city is named after the Duke of Orleans, who reigned as Regent for Louis XV and known for it’s colonial-era architecture, Jazz, streetcars, beignets, creole dishes, and Mardi Gras celebration.
